The master and transactional areas in Baseplan Enterprise are enhanced by a wide range of features. Users can add more information to records through attachments, set up approval hierarchies, control access to crucial areas, automate reminders and notifications, and more.

Documents

The Documents module provides the ability to link physical documents to records in Baseplan Enterprise. For instance, an invoice can be scanned and linked to a supplier invoice record in the system.

Copies of all the linked attachments are maintained in a Central Location. This minimises data loss if attachments are deleted accidentally. Documents can be sent to other users in Baseplan Enterprise or emailed directly from the module.

Jira Service Desk Portal

The Jira Service Desk Portal helps Baseplan customers create, view and update Support, Modification and Bug tasks.

Reminder Service

Baseplan Enterprise has daily and nightly routines to send information, such as reminder emails for equipment registration, prebilling and billing reports, overdue invoice reminders, and more. The Reminder Service also offers the ability to automatically finish rental contracts that have been fully billed and returned.

Reporting

Baseplan has enhanced its integration with Microsoft’s server based reporting engine – SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). This document explains the process of creating and updating SSRS reports in Baseplan Enterprise. Users are also provided an overview of the Report Builder that allows them to create reports easily through SQL queries.

Security

Security in Baseplan Enterprise can be managed at various levels, ranging from access to entire modules to specific screens and functions. Users performing similar roles can be added to groups. Permissions can then be assigned to these groups to ensure all the users have the same level of access. Additional layers of control are provided for user-level security through User/Branch Relationships.

Workflow

The Workflow module streamlines approvals and escalations for a number of transactions, including purchase orders, purchase receipts, rental rates and rental contracts. Notifications are automatically sent out to the relevant user, informing them about the pending requests. Escalation rules can be set up to ensure the request moves through the right channels if not completed within a specified period of time.
